Bourbon Cousins' custom-designed silk used in Woodford Reserve’s Mint Julep Cup sale for Derby 145
Derby® 145! Woodford Reserve has selected our original silk design to line the beautiful wooden box holding the $1000 & $2500 Mint Julep Cups.
Once again we utilized the familiar Woodford Reserve bottle silhouette to create a unique pattern printed in black. The contrasting pattern overlays a striking turquoise and green diamond motif so often seen on jockey silks. The colors coordinate with those on the neck label and bottle art of the 2019 Woodford Reserve Derby® edition bourbon bottles. Woodford Reserve is once again the presenting sponsor for the 145th Kentucky Derby®.
This year the John Asher Memorial Scholarship Fund will receive the proceeds from the annual julep cup sale. John Asher was the longtime spokesperson for Churchill Downs, who died suddenly in 2018.
Buyers of either the $1000 silver julep cup or the $2500 gold-plated julep cup, will have access to the Woodford Reserve $1000 Mint Julep Tent and branded bar on Kentucky Derby® Day at Churchill Downs®.
